The problem

Refrigeration is a separate energy problem.

Refrigerated fleets must protect temperature while managing fuel, idling, maintenance, noise and operating cost. Replacing the entire truck is not always necessary — STOCHOPS focuses on electrifying the refrigeration function of suitable existing refrigerated vehicles.

Existing fleet

The truck does not necessarily need to be replaced.

For suitable vehicles, the refrigeration function can be electrified independently of the truck itself. STOCHOPS evaluates the existing vehicle, refrigerated body and duty cycle before recommending a retrofit configuration.

Not every vehicle can be retrofitted. Each vehicle requires a technical assessment.

Straight answers.

Does STOCHOPS manufacture the refrigeration system?
No. We work with qualified OEM technology providers for the complete refrigeration and energy system, and add the Saudi monitoring, measurement and verification layer.
Do I need to replace my truck?
Not necessarily. The initial model focuses on suitable existing refrigerated vehicles. Each vehicle requires a technical assessment.
Is the refrigeration powered only by solar?
No. Solar can support the energy system, but the architecture may also use a dedicated battery, depot charging and other approved charging sources.
Can the system handle frozen products?
Potentially, depending on the OEM configuration and vehicle. Frozen applications have higher energy requirements and need specific engineering validation.
How do you calculate savings?
We establish a baseline before the retrofit where possible, then compare actual post-installation performance using operating data such as refrigeration hours, temperature, ambient conditions and energy consumption.
Are savings guaranteed?
No universal percentage is promised. Savings depend on the existing system, vehicle, route, temperature requirement, operating hours, climate and energy configuration.
Is STOCHOPS already commercially deployed at scale?
STOCHOPS is currently launching its Saudi pilot program.
Who can participate?
Operators of refrigerated fleets in Saudi Arabia can submit their vehicles for pilot assessment.
